Analysis – Performance and Responsiveness
Performance
Smart Media Loading: Implemented lazy loading for high-resolution portfolio images to ensure immediate initial page load (LCP).
Asset Optimization: All architectural photography compressed to Next-Gen formats (WebP) without quality loss; icons converted to SVG for crispness and low weight.
Clean Structure: Semantic HTML hierarchy (H1/H2/H3) for better SEO ranking and accessibility; unused CSS purged to reduce blocking time.
Smooth Interactions: Micro-animations and page transitions optimized to run at 60fps without causing layout shifts.
Responsiveness
Fluid Typography: Font sizes adapt proportionally between desktop (1920px) and mobile (344px) screens to maintain the "editorial" look.
Mobile Experience: Stacked layout with generous touch targets (>44px) for navigation; galleries convert to swipeable sliders on mobile to save vertical space.
Cross-Browser Consistency: Tested on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox to ensure the "calm and cohesive" feel is identical everywhere.

Problem & Solution
Site and Business Challenges
Brand Mismatch: The previous website felt cluttered and outdated, failing to reflect the studio's "refined, warm, and easeful" design philosophy.
Poor Showcase: High-end portfolio images were not given enough space to breathe, diminishing the perceived value of the work.
Complex Navigation: The user journey didn't effectively communicate the studio's unique (UK/Toronto/LA) perspective.
My Solution
Atmospheric UI: Designed a minimalist interface with generous whitespace and typography a sense of luxury and calm immediately.
Portfolio-First Architecture: Created an immersive gallery structure that lets the photography speak for itself. Images are the hero.
Narrative Flow: structured the content to tell the story of "Design led interiors, shaped around people," connecting the visual style with the emotional benefit of the service.
Curated User Journey: Simplified the navigation into clear pathways: About, Services, and Contact, removing friction for high-net-worth clients ready to inquire.
